my work?
My writing is inspired by folk traditions, storytelling as ritual, historically women’s spaces, and the living presence of the past. I usually write short stories— some published, most not— but am currently working on a novel that will (with the grace of God) someday see the light of the sun. Some writers I find influential are Jeannette Winterson, Shirley Jackson, José Donoso, Richard Brautigan, Irene Solà, Arthur Machen, and Robert Graves.

I am a queer writer and artist from New England. I have since lived in upstate New York, Long Island, Dublin, and Brooklyn. In undergrad, I studied English/Creative Writing, Education, and Studio Art. I’m currently working on a master’s in Irish Folklore and Mythology. During the day, I am a teacher at an emergent curriculum school. When not writing, studying, or teaching, I am likely to be found reading, knitting, painting, doting on my cat, or collecting antiques. My favorite color is green, my favorite body of water is a lake, and my favorite saints are Lucy, Hildegard, and Julian. One day I’m going to disappear into the woods.
